about me

HEY Y’ALL !

Here’s a little sumthin, sumthin about me! I grew up in the Montreal suburbs and spent most of my free time on competitive sports teams, including volleyball, field hockey, synchronised swimming, figure skating, dance, cross country, track and field and more. Dancing is what finally allowed me to break into the professional sports scene as one of the Can-Can dancers at the Moulin Rouge in Paris, where I stayed for two years. When I returned to Canada, I completed my Bachelors at Concordia University and I started to teach Barre classes in the Montreal area.

As a fitness instructor, I fell in love with the gym and all aspects of health and wellness, including areas I had never explored before, like reformer pilates, HIIT classes, yoga, and strength training. After graduating university in Marketing, I decided to move to Sydney, Australia for a change of scene. There I became fascinated by the health conscious community around Bondi Beach and started working at Barry’s Bootcamp in 2019. In Bondi, everyone was into fitness, and that encouraged me to turn my love for fitness and sports into a full time career. I have been working full-time in fitness ever since!

The high energy atmosphere at Barry’s mixed well with my own style of fitness instruction, and that energy and intensity is what you can expect from all of my workouts.

I want to share my passion for exercise and wellness with others and help them discover their passion and excitement for fitness and healthy living. This is the driving force behind my business as a trainer both online and in person in Canada.

My philosophy.

What makes me different to a lot of people in the fitness industry, is my approach to a healthy, happy life. I have always had a great relationship with food and fitness, and I would love for everybody to get to experience the same!

I love fitness, I love exercise and I love having the privilege to get up every day and move my body. I definitely don’t take it for granted and make sure I utilise the opportunity to move my body to my best ability, on the daily. I understand that not everybody has found a way that they like to get moving and exercise, but this is where I’m here to help. My workouts are a small snippet of what I like to do to stay active and fit. With movement, comes the ability to adopt a flexible diet. No fad diets, no starving yourself and no endless cardio needed in order to (keyword) FEEL like the healthiest version of yourself.

Incorporating daily movement and exercise, allows me to eat what I desire, and to me, eating what I desire is a big key to happiness. You can have your cake, and eat it too. The key word here is “desire”. Although I love a good burger, cheese platter or pasta dish, I also love a great salad, grilled chicken or fish & veggie combination. I want you adapt and learn to intrinsically “desire” a whole, healthy, way of eating and I want you to crave the “healthy foods”. Crave the healthy banana pancakes or the fresh ingredient power bowl. Now if that sounds horrible to you, you may be on the journey to being the healthiest version of yourself, but not quite at the finish line! When you incorporate fitness into your life regularly, the desire to eat healthy, whole fulfilling foods comes along with it. After incorporating exercise into your day and making it a daily habit, you usually want to keep up the good work and continue the effort you put in, by eating healthy. The more you do this, the more it becomes a habit.

Work out hard, eat healthy, be happy. Now, like every other trainer will tell you, it’s a balance. I absolutely want you to order the big bowl of pasta at dinner (heck knows I do!) AND have a cocktail AND enjoy a dessert (and not have to think twice about it), but I also want you to have the knowledge and willpower to fuel your body on a regular basis with nutrient dense meals that will give you the energy and fuel to make it through your day AND a workout, whether that be a brisk walk, tennis game or HIIT class. (Whatever makes you smile inside).

I think a big part of loving fitness, is loving the community you’re in. I’ve always loved playing sports, because on top of pushing myself to be the best that I can be, it also was an amazing community and I have met most of my best friends from playing sports or in my local fitness communities. Making friends and being around people with healthy habits and lifestyles that you emulate is extremely motivating. Being part of a community that pushes you to be the best YOU, is extremely motivating. You and everyone else around you, are striving to be better and a community like that is what you NEED to help you stay on track.

Do my workouts! All the time. Make it a habit. Schedule them in. Don’t let anything get in the way. Think healthy. Eat healthy. Indulge when you need to. BE HAPPY.

Do all of the above: you win.

“I’ve always wanted to tell you, you’re honestly the biggest inspiration and the best teacher I’ve ever had! I hated gym classes until Barre with you and I’ve learned so much about my body and what it can do, thank you so much.”
